Broomsticks at the ready! It's time to blast off and enjoy Jet and Space Week at the RAF Museum with a spooky twist.
Fly on the Witches Broom!
Whoosh! Discover the daring missions of the real witches of World War Two. Journey through the hangers, find all the witches, and learn why they earned their spooky name, 'The Night Witches'.
Pick up a copy when you arrive and complete in your own time . Everyday between 24 October - 1 November.
Lego Balloon Jets
Zoom into creativity - our Lego Balloon Jets are back! Complete our Lego designs, and then attached a balloon to see how fast it travels!
These are free drop-in sessions, but adults must stay with their children.
This is a volunteer-led activity running 10:30-12:30 and 13:30-15:30 on 26, 28, and 30 October.
Borrow the Moon
A rare opportunity to get up close with a piece of real moon rock, collected on an Apollo Mission, as well as handling many other exciting meteorite rocks!
It's free to join in, but adults must stay with their children.
11:00-11:45 and 14:30-15:15 between 26 - 29 October.
Limited availability, booking encouraged. Both adults and children must book.
Planetarium
Transport yourself out of the atmosphere without leaving the museum!
Shows at 10:30, 11:30, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00 everyday between 16–20 February.
Tickets are £6.50 (child and adult tickets required). Booking highly encouraged to guarantee a space.
These sessions are classified as a Type C activity as per the RAF Museum's Public Events- Accessibility Information.
Recommended age: 6+
Spooky Storytelling
There’s a spine-chilling feeling in the air… the war is over, the airfield is abandoned, but that doesn’t stop people from wanting to explore the memories of years gone by.
In this immersive storytelling session, become a part of the journey to uncover how this area turned from eerie fields to vibrant museum.
Sessions at 10:45, 11:45, 13:00, 14:00, 15:15 on 31 October and 1 November.
Tickets are £5 per child. Adults will not require their own ticket but must remain with their child at all times.
